KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A semi-truck driver is recovering from injuries after a rollover crash that shut down the freeway in Kalamazoo for several hours.
Public Safety officers were called to westbound I-94 at Sprinkle Road just before noon on Sunday where they found the tractor trailer rolled on its side.
They say the incident occurred when a vehicle entering from northbound Sprinkle pulled into the path of the semi-truck driver, causing them to swerve to avoid hitting the vehicle, but later flipping onto its side.
The semi-truck driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries and the other driver was not injured.
Both Sprinkle Road exits were shut down and traffic on westbound I-94 was disrupted for nearly 4-hours as crews cleaned up the crash.
