LEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is dead after a single-car crash near the Allegan-Van Buren County line.
South Haven Area Emergency Services were called to Baseline Road near 59th Street in Lee Township just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday where they found the vehicle upside down in a wooded area off the side of the road, several hundred feet from the bridge.
Investigators believe the vehicle was going westbound on Baseline when it went out of control, struck the side of the bridge, and went airborne.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and authorities are still looking into the incident.
