HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Grand Haven police were called to the scene of a stabbing Friday, July 5, 2019, just after 10 p.m., according to a statement from the police agency.
The victim, Thomas Allen Kennedy, 55, of Grand Haven, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement made by Grand Haven’s director of public safety, Jeff Hawke.
The stabbing capped an arguement at a second-floor apartment on the 1300 block of Columbus Avenue..
Police say Kennedy’s roommate, a 29-year-old man, is being held at Ottawa County Jail, but won’t be named until after he’s arraigned on open murder charges.
The Michigan State Police Crime Lab and detectives from MSP Rockford Post assisted with this investigation.
