SCHOOLCRAFT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County reminds residents not to drive around barricades, or move them, but they never thought they’d have to tell people not to burn them down.
The commission posted a photo on their Facebook page on Monday of a charred “Road Closed” barricade calling it a “road bonfire” on 22nd Street north of Y Avenue in Schoolcraft.
They said, “It is dangerous to remove barricades, let alone set them on fire causing emergency response over the weekend. Please protect the safety of the public and call 911 if you see this type of activity.”
Anyone with information on the suspect should call authorities.
