KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A boil water advisory is in place for a portion of Kalamazoo Township.
This comes as city officials work to repair water infrastructure on Baker Drive, causing a temporary loss of pressure and issuing the precautionary advisory.
The advisory includes:
Baker Drive – From Miami Avenue (northern boundary) to Gertrude Street (southern boundary), both sides of street. Also includes parcels located northwest of the intersection of Baker Drive and Miami Avenue, and the southwest corner of the intersection of Baker Drive and Gertrude Street. This does not include the northeast or southeast corners of the intersection of Baker Drive and Miami Avenue, or the southeast corner of the intersection of Baker Drive and Gertrude Street.
Upland Drive – From the northern end of Upland Drive to Gertrude Street (southern boundary), both sides of street. Does not include the southwest corner of the intersection of Upland Drive and Gertrude Street.
Sunnyside Drive – Includes only the northeast corner of Sunnyside Drive and Gertrude Street, and the two multi-family units located between Sunnyside Drive and Baker Drive, just north of the northern end of Upland Drive.
Gertrude Street – Includes only the southeastern corner of the intersection of Gertrude Street and Sunnyside Drive.
Officials hope to lift the advisory by Thursday.
