HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Zeeland-based Paradise Bound Ministries announced that one of two men working for the ministry in Guatamala has died after a plane crash yesterday
Paradise Bound’s founder Dan Smith made the announcement on the ministry website, stating, “It is with a heavy heart I share with you that Luke, PBM’s Aviation Director, passed away this morning from the severe injuries he sustained in yesterday’s plane crash. Please pray for this precious family as they begin to mourn his loss. Luke leaves behind a wife, Ashley, 3 beautiful little girls Brooklyn, Nicole, Isabella, and another daughter on the way.”
He’d announced the crash yesterday, saying that the ministry plane and two men — identified by WZZM as 28-year-old Aviation Director Luke Sullivan, and 32-year-old visiting missionary pilot Bruce Van Fleet — had crashed and were being treated for serious injuries at a Guatamala City hospital.
Smith’s note about Sullivan’s death included an appeal for Van Fleet.
“Please continue to remember the other pilot involved, Bruce, as we evaluate his treatment options. We will continue to update you as we have more information,” Smith wrote.
