BALTIMORE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Emmett Township Public Safety officers are identifying the Kalamazoo man that died after a multi-county car chase Sunday afternoon.
They say that 45-year-old Albert Brooks went into cardiac arrest while in the ambulance.
This comes after he fled from officers in Battle Creek, hit an EMT, and continued into Barry County near Hastings when he was taken into custody on M-37.
Several packages of meth were recovered and officers believe drugs or alcohol were factors in his death, but toxicology and autopsy results are still pending.
