ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit is investigating an odd incident between a pig, a pitbull, and drug paraphernalia.
Officers went to a home on Dennis Sweet Drive in Antwerp Township Thursday afternoon in reference to illegal narcotics activities, but instead they found a woman holding a board, and a pitbull that was biting onto a pig and wouldn’t let go.
The woman said the unknown pig wandered into her backyard and she was going to use the board to try to get the dog to let go.
Instead officers used “less lethal” shotgun rounds to separate the animals, and the pig ran into the woods.
Then the 28-year-old suspect pulled up into the residence, but refused to cooperate with officers.
He was restrained during a brief altercation and police obtained a search warrant where they found paraphernalia used to smoke meth inside the home.
Nobody was arrested, but the incident was forwarded to the prosecutor.
