SCHOOLCRAFT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies are identifying the pedestrian killed by a semi-truck in Schoolcraft.
They say that 23-year-old Zachary Plaunt of Schoolcraft was walking along on US-131 near XY Avenue just after 11:00 a.m. last Tuesday when he somehow got in front of the semi-truck.
The 64-year-old semi driver from Ohio was cleared of any wrongdoing.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.
