BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police say an argument led to a man shooting his wife before he turned the gun on himself Monday morning.
It happened in the first block of Lathrop Avenue at about 6:30 a.m..
When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old man unresponsive in a car with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A 39-year-old woman from Illinois was treated by LifeCare Ambulance for a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
The couple had previously lived in Illinois and had recently come to Battle Creek.
