KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees is opting out of allowing recreational marijuana facilities within the township borders.
Trustees voted almost unanimously during their Tuesday evening meeting; however, this vote does not impact recreational marijuana usage.
Members of the board voting in favor of opting out largely cited the fact that there is no official guideline or plan for business regulations from the State of Michigan as of yet.
Trustee Jeremy Hathcock was the only member to vote against the motion. The motion will go into effect immediately after passing.
