MENDON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan State Police are investigating the cause of a fatal crash after a pick up truck was discovered in an open field in St. Joseph County.
Authorities found the wreck just before 9 p.m. Sunday near Simpson and Nottawa Roads in Mendon Township.
They say the 37-year-old man from Plainwell crashed into the tree line and was pronounced dead at the scene, but another adult in the bed of the truck was not injured.
No names have been released and investigators are waiting on autopsy results.
