KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kalamazoo man is in custody after an argument led to gunshots in the Milwood Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers responded to shots fired in the 1400 block of Banbury Road just after 12:30 p.m. Monday and even heard gunshots in the background as they were speaking to callers.
They secured the area and located the 25-year-old suspect in a nearby apartment, who later surrendered after negotiating with authorities over the phone.
Officers executed a search warrant and seized multiple firearms and ammunition from the apartment.
Nobody was injured during the shooting and the suspect was booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail for felony assault and multiple weapons charges.
