LACEY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Officials with the National Weather Service are confirming that a tornado touched down in southeastern Barry County.
The EF-0 tornado was recorded just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday just north of the town of Lacey, between Dowling and Maple Grove Township.
Winds were estimated around 80 mph.
Luckily nobody was injured, but it did damage three barns on one farm and a telephone phone as well as several trees.
Officials say the event only lasted about 3-minutes.
