KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A fire on the six-floor at the Crosstown Apartments injured one tenant and killed a cat but fire fighters were able to contain the damage to one apartment in the senior residential complex.
The first Public Safety Officers on the scene found flames and smoke in the living room of the unit. It took them about 22 minutes to douse the flames.
One tenant was taken to Bronson Emergency for treatment of mild smoke inhalation. Two tenants were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
