PAW PAW (WKZO AM/FM) — A Van Buren County man has been sentenced to 20 to 50-years in prison for a horrifying case of child abuse.
Corey Kucera’s three year old daughter, Sophia was bound to a car seat and had a sock placed her mouth and taped in and left in the seat for 24-hours last fall.
It was reportedly punishment for misbehavior.
Her step-mom, Kate George was sentenced to 31 to 50 years for her role in the abusive death.
The official cause of death was suffocation.
Both cut plea deals with the prosecutor.
