MASON TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman from Arizona is injured after she fell asleep at the wheel traveling in Cass County.
It occurred around 4 a.m. Monday on US-12 near the intersection of Starbrick Road in Mason Township.
Deputies say that 45-year-old Krisiti Lyn Shuler was traveling eastbound on US-12 when she dozed off, crossed the centerline, and overturned her pickup truck.
She was treated on scene and then transported to Elkhart General Hospital for her injuries.
Investigators say she was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
