HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Voters in three Lakeshore communities will be asked to vote next Tuesday three ballot proposals.
Saugatuck Public Schools is requesting a nearly $40-million bond, the second such proposal in as many years — the first did not pass.
West Ottawa Public Schools’ voters will be asked to approve a $98-million bond.
“There have been some questions, and I think we’ve done a good job of answering them,” said Superintendent Tom Martin. (Listen to the full interview online.) “We have a bond website that you can access off our webpage that has frequently asked questions that include a lot of that information.”
Holland Community Aquatic Center’s $26-million bond request would cause a .25 mill tax hike. Aquatic Center Executive Director Jack Hulsing will talk about the aquatic center proposal on Tuesday morning around 9:30 AM on WHTC Talk of the Town.
