BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — An 18-year-old charged with murder in Battle Creek has been found not guilty by a Calhoun County Jury.
Davion Brown was charged with the shooting death of 22-year-old Khari Davis last October near Claude Evans Park.
The prosecution presented evidence that Brown was in the area and even presented an eyewitness, Tiana Wade, but the defense was able to shake the credibility of that witness by presenting another witness who said wade initially identified someone else as the gunman.
Apparently it was enough for the jury and Brown has been freed.
