BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Wednesday is opening day at the Binder Park Zoo.
Marketing Manager Leslie Walsh is inviting guests to “spring into the zoo” to say hello to the animals, enjoy the rides, and check out what’s new in the restaurants and gift shops.
There are 11 new animals on display. A litter of African painted dog pups were born at the zoo in late November.
The zoo is also doing a fundraising campaign where you can name one of the pups with a donation of $1000. More information can be found here.
Binder Park Zoo is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. today.
Daily hours will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. through April 30.
Beginning May 1st through Labor Day, hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
