ALLEGAN (WKZO AM/FM) — An Allegan County man has entered a no-contest plea for causing a wreck that killed a newlywed couple last July.
Police say 21-year-old Jacob Damron of Wayland ran a stop sign and struck a car that contained Logan and Hannah Allbaugh, who had been married just a few weeks before.
Their car careened into the opposite lane, where it was hit by a third car. The couple died after the twin collisions.
Toxicology tests showed that Damron had a sedative and THC, the active ingredient in Mariijuana in his system at the time of the crash.
He will be sentenced in June.
