BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — For the second time in less than a month, fire crews were dispatched to the Graphic Packaging Plant in Battle Creek to put out a fire.
Saturday Evening, a ball-bearing on a machine overheated, sparking a fire that spread to surrounding items and damaged the ceiling in that section of the plant.
There were no injuries.
On March 23rd, fire crews responded to the plant on Fountain Street to put out two bales of recycled paper that caught fire.
There were no injuries in that fire either.
