(KALAMAZOO MI) (WKZO AM/FM) — A new study shows that personal income among Michiganders growing at one of the fastest rates in the nation. WWMT says a report by 24/Wall Street showed that personal income per capita in Michigan increased to nearly 44 thousand per year from 2008 to 2018, up 16.3 percent in the last decade. But despite the positive news, the U.S. Census Bureau shows 29 percent of Michiganders having at least a bachelors degree, with the nationwide average at 35 percent. More than three quarters of jobs in michigan paying more than 61 thousand a year require a four year degree.
