BRIDGMAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An autopsy is planned in Kalamazoo on the body of a woman killed on I-94 early Sunday morning.
W-MED pathologists will be trying to determine if the Chicago woman had some sort of medical issue, or had been using drugs or alcohol before she suddenly came to a complete stop in the right traffic lane.
It happened around 2:30 a.m .in the eastbound lane near Bridgman.
One car managed to swerve and avoid the parked car, but the Ford 250 pickup behind her was hauling a trailer, and could not come to stop in time, slamming into the back of her Chevrolet Sonic, pinning it against a post holding the cable barrier.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, a Wisconsin man, was not injured.
