KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Both Lake Michigan and Huron are expected to be at least a foot deeper by summer. M-LIVE reports the lakes will have an extra 8 trillion gallons of water with the normal seasonal rise peaking around mid-summer.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers forecast the rise due to current snow melt conditions and precipitation for the year.
