CASS COUNTY A Semi-driver from Vicksburg is under investigation after a horrific crash yesterday morning in Cass County.
Deputies say the 52-year-old truck driver slammed into the rear of a passenger vehicle that had slowed along westbound M-60 to make a left-turn.
The impact of the collision forced the vehicle driven by 69-year-old Laurene Preis of Marcellus into the path of an eastbound vehicle, striking Preis a second time.
She was airlifted to a hospital in Kalamazoo for emergency surgery.
The driver of the second vehicle, 42-year-old Jennifer Jercha of Jones was also hospitalized.
