COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — The Comstock Planning Commission has given tentative approval to a plan by Wenke Greenhouses to build housing for migrant workers on property they own near their operation.
It’s been modified after federal officials objected to plans that only single men would be allowed to live in the housing.
The neighbors have objected because they fear what the housing will do to property values in the area.
The proposal must still be approved by Comstock’s board of trustees at next month’s meeting.
