PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — The boil water advisory issued for a section of Oakland Drive late last week has been lifted by Health Officials after test results show that the water is safe to drink.
The advisory was issued Thursday after a vehicle hit a fire hydrant, and in order to replace it, utility crews had to cut off the water supply which dropped the pressure creating a risk of possible contamination.
The advisory was issued as a precaution for homes on Oakland Drive between Shaver Road and Osterhout Avenue.
