KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — There is a detour in your future if you use Oakland Drive or Howard Street to get to work.
The intersection of those two streets is closed to traffic because of a gas leak.
Consumers Energy says the heaving ground cracked a six inch gas line Tuesday night.
The City of Kalamazoo initially said the intersection of Howard and Oakland could be closed all morning but they later corrected that it would be closed until further notice.
The gas leak has been sealed but it takes extra time to repair the roadway in weather like this.
