MASON TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Several Indiana residents are facing charges after fleeing from officers in Elkhart and later barricading themselves at a home in Mason Township.
The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the 21,000 block of Channel Parkway on Sunday after the 34-year-old barricaded subject eventually surrendered.
There detectives found 4 additional subjects inside the home as well as over an ounce of meth, a bag of marijuana and cocaine, $4,000 in cash, and other drug paraphernalia.
Two vehicles stolen out of Indiana were also recovered outside the residence.
A 40-year-old man, and 3 women, ages 30, 29, and 18, all from Elkhart were booked into the Cass County Jail on drug charges and charges are being sought against the 34-year-old man.
No names are being released until after they are arraigned.
