TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A public hearing scheduled by the Department of Environmental Quality on Texas Township’s permit to solve their flooding crisis had been scheduled for tonight, but it has been cancelled due to the weather and no new date has been set.
Every delay just raises the threat level for the 400 plus homes impacted.
Superintendent Julie Vanderwiere says they have been watching the water rise for over a year.
Some homes have had to be abandoned. And they could lose more homes with all this snow expected to melt away this weekend, when more rain is predicted.
