KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Forecasters are predicting a one two punch from old man winter this week with 3 to 8 inches of snow, depending on where you live, arriving overnight,
That could make the morning drive a problem, and may cancel a lot of schools.
Then Tuesday night, the polar vortex will dip down, taking temperatures subzero for all of Wednesday. We could see temperatures that are as low as we can get.
The Kalamazoo Gospel Mission will be adding staff and going to a 24-hour schedule to provide a warming center for anyone who is homeless and needs a place to stay and meals.
The first Congregational Church and The First Baptist Church will also be open to provide shelter for anyone who needs it from 8pm to 8am . They are looking for volunteers.
