KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s the Martin Luther King National Holiday and there will be a number of events scheduled in Kalamazoo to remember and honor the great civil rights leader.
In fact the events began last week, including yesterday afternoon’s 33rd annual celebration hosted by the Northside Ministerial Alliance at Mt. Zion. It attracted another packed audience.
At 8 am, the City of Kalamazoo’s Day of Service will begin with Volunteers meeting at City Hall to get their assignments for the day. It will include a program and lunch.
There will be a number of events on the WMU and Kalamazoo College campuses today, and instead of Marching from campus to MLK Park, buses will be provided at the Bernhard Center at 3:30. It will be followed by a community celebration at the State Theatre.
We have a link with a list of all the events right here.
