HOLLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Holland man who was cycling in the dark in Holland Township suffered life threatening injuries after he was struck by a snowplow and dragged for some distance before the truck driver realized he had struck someone.
The collision occurred around 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening along North 144th Avenue, just northwest of Holland.
The 25-year-old victim was stabilized at Holland Hospital and transported to Spectrum Butterworth, where he remains in critical condition.
It remains under investigation but the driver was cooperating with authorities.
About three hours earlier, a Pride Care Ambulance transporting a 69-year-old patient on a non-emergency run, rolled over along I-94 in Northern Berrien County, near the Van Buren County Line when the driver lost control on icy pavement.
Two medics suffered minor injuries but the patient was apparently uninjured.
