KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A teenager is being held for arraignment on some serious charges after a disagreement with his girlfriend turned physically violent.
Central Dispatch sent officers to the Speedway on S. Westnedge midday Friday after an 18-year-old woman told a clerk that she had been abducted and needed help.
They had initially dispatched Deputies to the 2000 block of Steger in Comstock Township, where the alleged abduction took place, but the suspect and the victim had already left.
The young victim told Public Safety Officers that she had been taken by force by her 18-year-old boyfriend who assaulted her in the car. ‘
The suspect was detained until Deputies arrived and took him into custody. He was booked into the County Jail on kidnap and domestic assault charges.
