BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are calling a recent drive-by shooting a case of “horseplay or roadrage” that went too far.
The incident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Capital Avenue N.E. on the city’s Northside when two suspects in a late model tan Chevy Suburban followed a victim, shattered his passenger side window with a bullet, and then sped off.
Around 1 a.m. Tuesday authorities spotted a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop near Mckinley and Capital Avenues.
A 30-year-old man and a 24-year-old man both from Battle Creek were arrested and the shotgun was found in the vehicle and confiscated.
Officials say the suspects appear to be unrelated did not know the victim.
There were no injuries.
