BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A 19-year-old from Battle Creek is recovering from a near-fatal gunshot wound after he was shot in the back in a parking lot at the Arbor Pointe Townhomes on the city’s northwest side.
Battle Creek Police were dispatched at about 2:30 Saturday Afternoon and found the teen on the snowy pavement. The victim was rushed in critical condition to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo for emergency surgery and has since been upgraded to serious but stable condition.
