PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage Public Safety officers are searching for an armed robber after a Facebook sale went awry.
The victim was buying a pair of tennis shoes that were for sale on the social media site and the seller was planning to meet him at an apartment complex on Falcon Court around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
When the victim arrived, the suspect stepped into his vehicle, had a brief conversation, and then pointed a pistol at him demanding money.
The suspect took cash and the victim’s iPhone before fleeing on foot and the victim was not injured.
Now officers are searching for a light-skinned black man in his 20’s with a nose shape that looked as if it was broken. He was last seen wearing a brown and green camo jacket and a pair of light blue jeans.
