PORTER TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Deputies are crediting seat belts with preventing any serious injuries in a crash that was so violent that it tore one of the vehicles to pieces.
Deputies say a car driven by a woman pulled out onto U.S.-12 from Sunset Boulevard in Porter Township, right into the path of a Pick-up, which had the right of way and was traveling at highway speeds.
Despite the violent impact, the driver of the pickup was not injured and the driver of the car was treated for minor injuries at the scene but did not require a trip to the hospital.
Both of the drivers are 33-years-old and reside in Union.
