PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Michigan State Police have identified the skeletal remains found off I-94 last week as a missing man from the Lansing Area.
27-year-old Jerome Deshawn Ezell was last seen by friends and relatives on the morning of November 7, 2017. His SUV was found parked that evening in Lansing Township with his 5 month old son inside.
The mother of his two children had offered a $10,000 reward for information on his location.
The remains were discovered last Wednesday by chance along Crandall Parkway near Lawrence by the employee of a nearby business, who decided to take a walk during his lunch hour.
The State Police Crime Lab used DNA to determine positive identification.
The State Police have opened a homicide investigation and assigned it to detectives at the Lansing Post. More information may be released today.
