BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A weekend shooting at a Battle Creek night spot is under investigation.
A 24-year-old Battle Creek man is recovering from a shoulder wound after he told police he was struck by a bullet from behind as he walked across the parking lot of The Music Factory very early Sunday morning.
He says his chin was also grazed.
He claims he was walking with a friend, who drove him to pick up his own car, so he could drive himself to the Emergency Room.
Police did find 9-mm shell casings on the sidewalk along Angell Street where the gunman stood. No arrests so far.
