MICHIGAN (WHTC-AM/FM) — The UM hoodie bandit has added a fifth county, Newaygo, to the list of those affected by the payday lending story robberies.
Fremont police detectives are now investigating a robbery attempt at an Allied Cash Advance store in Fremont, which happened just before 5 p.m. Thurdsay, Dec. 13, 2018.
Investigators aren’t saying whether the suspect got any cash — he didn’t during an attempt to rob a shop in Alpine Township Wednesday — but they believe this is the latest in a string of similar incidents.. So far, the suspect has hit three shops in Kent County and one each in Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon counties. Police did not say if the suspect wore the same UM hoodies used in the five earlier incidents.
The latest incident has revealed a new clue, because witnesses spotted the suspect leaving in a newer-model black four-door Buick sedan.
