UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — Police agencies throughout the country are investigating after a wave of bomb threats were sent to businesses, newsrooms, schools, government buildings, police departments and other areas.
In west and southwest Michigan, multiple places in Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and others received the threat via email around 1 p.m. Thursday.
The Battle Creek Police Department reported that they were treating the incidents as “legitimate threats until other information is provided.”
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s office sent out a release detailing one of the threats. They say the email claimed if they did not pay a certain amount of money by a certain time, a bomb would go off.
Many claim it is a nationwide scam that is affecting multiple areas across the U.S. but some places took serious precautions by evacuating and getting the FBI involved to investigate just to be sure.
So far there are no actual reports of physical explosives throughout the nation but investigators are working to find the suspect or suspects.

Nothing personal, if you don’t send me the bitcoins and a bomb explodes, next time other commercial enterprises will pay me a lot more, because this isnt a one-time action.
