KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Public Safety Department held a coat drive at their Headquarters on Crosstown Parkway on Saturday morning.
Pastors on Patrol, an organization working to improve relations between the Department and the community, organized the drive to collect coats for low income residents.
They plan to do it again next Saturday, and Assistant Chief Vernon Coakley says if you don’t want to wait until then, they can be dropped off at any Public Safety Station through the 21st.
They are also accepting gloves and hats for the next two weeks. They will hand them out on December 22nd from 9 to noon at the Jennings Development Interplex on North Edwards.
