KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — WMU has big plans for south campus, and have just unveiled some of the drawings and diagrams for their master plan.
It calls for a new student center, new residential housing and a dining facility with a large green plaza right in the center.
The University has already removed the old Elmwood Apartments that used to fill the view from Stadium Drive.
The end game is to make that view much more appealing while providing modern facilities that will be more attractive and functional for students.
The plan is to break ground in the spring. It would take several years to complete all the elements of the master plan.
