CASS COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash that injured two men from Cass County late Saturday night.
Sgt. Casey Davis says 38-year-old Adam Molter of Dowagiac was westbound on Dutch Settlement Road when the Ford Supercab Pickup he was driving strayed from the paved roadway just after 10:00 and rolled onto its side down an embankment.
Both Molter and a passenger, 43-year-old Johnathan Hemenway of Decatur were taken to Borgess Lee Memorial where Molter was stabilized and airlifted by Med Flight to South Bend Memorial for more intensive emergency surgery.
Neither were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
