UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) –The Thanksgiving travel season is in full force.
Triple A Spokesperson Nancy Cain says 1.5-million Michiganders will be traveling by car this year.
She says the day before Thanksgiving will be one of the busiest days on the road, especially during the afternoon drive time between 3-5 p.m.
The least traveled day? Cain says if you can wait until Thanksgiving day, the roads will be clearer and easier.
About 54-million Americans will travel during the Thanksgiving holiday, and mostly by car.
Authorities are also reminding drivers to fill their gas tanks, check fluids and tire pressure, and stock the car with an emergency pack with a phone charger, flashlight, snacks, water, blanket, etc.
And don’t forget about the ride back. Triple A predicts the Sunday after Thanksgiving will be the other top busy day on the roadways and in the air.
