WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A woman was killed while a man was taken to University of Michigan Hospital with severe injuries following a house fire Thursday morning in Hillsdale County’s Wheatland Township.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says the fire was reported at about 4:30 a.m. at 11200 Church Road.
The victim’s names are being withheld pending positive identification and notification of family members.
The fire remains under investigation by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Michigan State Police Fire Marshal Division.
