PORTER TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Sheriff deputies believe drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in a single car crash in Porter Township.
It happened just after midnight on Wednesday at the corner of Brownsville and Walnut Roads.
Authorities say 33-year-old Brandon Lake of Belding did not turn properly at the intersection and his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
He was taken to Elkhart General with injuries.
The crash is still under investigation and blood tests may determine whether he will face charges.
