PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Dozens of Pfizer employees volunteered for a special charity event on Thursday.
Some have PHD’s, some are engineers, and all of them work under exacting parameters inside the Pfizer Plant in Portage.
That’s why it took them no time at all to assemble dozens of bikes that are headed to the homes of Veterans.
Pfizer Site Leader Ron Perry says it’s a community project that is being executed at 8 Pfizer worksites around the country this year in anticipation of Veteran’s Day
This year the volunteers from Pfizer who were helped out by a few active members of the armed forces, assembled 93 bikes, and there are a few that haven’t been assigned a home yet.
If you are a veteran and would like one for your children, send an email to veteransinpfizerkalamazoo@pfizer.com.
